This will be the third wedding that I have photographed for the Crist Family. I think I have to say that they are one of my favorite families ever. Jordan and Colleen’s wedding started in Washington DC at the Mormon Temple. Photography is not permitted inside the temple so the day starts up as they are walking out of the front doors of the temple. I should also mention that the temple in DC is something out of a fairy tale. It’s gorgeous. It’s huge and it’s made from marble and has gold statues on the top of it. Absolutely incredible. The day started off being cold and windy and rainy but held off long enough for us to take some fantastic photos of the family and bridal party around the garden areas of the temple.
Once we wrapped up with the photographs in DC we traveled to Richmond VA where we would be taking more photos of just Jordan and Colleen at Maymont Park. This is where Jorden proposed to Colleen. On the tiny wooden bridge under the waterfall. It was very special for them to be able to have their photographs taken there. Plus we left the storm behind us in DC. So we had blue skies and white puffy clouds the rest of the day.
We finished up at the park and headed back into the city where the reception would be held at Havana 59. It’s a fantastic restaurant with a roof top view of the city. The food was fabulous and the staff did an incredible job. DJ St. James was on hand from Astro Entertainment. He kept the party jumping all night long.
I hope you enjoy looking at the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
